Using behavioral and neuroscience (electrophysiological and brain imaging) methods, we study the memory and attentional processes of sound organization underlying auditory object perception. We focus on studying the origin and operation of information processing functions involved in communication and music perception, such as the detection of acoustic regularities.

Our research is supported by the Momentum (“Lendület”; LP2012-36/2012: Neurocognitive and computational modeling of multi‐speaker scenes) project of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the Hungarian National Research Fund grant (K115385: Neurocognitive predictors of early language development). We also participate in the EU funded projects „Marie Curie Initial Training Network” (nr. 604764: Cognitive Innovation – CogNovo) and „Erasmus Mundus Action 2 Partnership” (nr. 2012-5538 / 001 – 001-EM: Auditory Cognitive Neuroscience – ACN).
